This is one of those rare horses that is both business and pleasure. Ranch ride him one day and go win a rodeo the next. Meston Performance Horses is proud to offer a home raised 5 year old gelding. Wiser is gentle, easy to catch and has lots of eye appeal. He is an in your pocket type horse, always the first one to be caught. This guy was born broke, even as a weanling nothing phased him. Wiser was used in the feedlot for a year, checking pens, treating and being used in the processing facility. In the spring he was was used to calve out over 1000 cows and took everything in stride. We have driven him on a sleigh – double as well as a single cart – and he excels at this, anyone can drive him on the cart. This big boy (15.1hh, 1242 pounds) is a standout head horse with lots of run, strong on the horn and a smooth face. He’s an easy mover with a rocking chair lope. For his size he stops really hard and is coming along nicely in both the steer stopping and breakaway. He’s great in the corner and stays flat footed, no funny business and never hot. We’ve taken him to the mountains and he is confident on the trail with a strong walk. He clips, baths and hauls like a dream. UTD on vaccinations, teeth and feet. Anyone would be lucky to add this gelding to their string!
