Milo is a 15.2H, 4 year old, tried and true all around ranch gelding who’s been making a living riding through cattle every morning and turning back at a high caliber cutting facility. He has seen countless long days in high and low country from driving cattle in Montana to trail riding the backwoods of Kentucky. Milo has been hauled quite literally all across the US and travels with ease! In fact, if he sees you hooking up a trailer he’s waiting at the gate! He has drug calves in the branding pen, doctored outside, outrode on the racetrack, drug colts around and has even tagged along on hog hunts but his resume doesn’t stop there…Started in the roping pen and showing extreme potential as a top notch head/heel AND breakaway prospect! As my go-to mount I have entered him in several ranch rodeos, a handful of Omoksees, and a couple competitive trail classes. If that’s not enough, he’s even been dabbling in low level dressage and cross country! Well-versed in all maneuvers and has a light, responsive handle that makes him enjoyable to ride for any job! This guy has the in-your-pocket personality that keeps you anxious to get to the barn every day and is the no questions asked mount that would carry you to the ends of the Earth! Rover is a 9 yr old sturdy 15.2 Blue Roan Quarter Horse Gelding with absolutely unmatched eye appeal that will get you noticed anywhere you go! Plenty of size, bone and foot to handle any rider or terrain! Rover was raised on a working ranch in North Texas long-trotting fence lines and doctoring cattle. However, make no mistake this guy has seen the bright lights of the city cruising through town, spending late nights at roping pens, the chaos of ranch rodeos, and has been hauled across the US. Rover has the been there- done that mentality that makes every ride enjoyable and stress-free. He will pick up and go when asked but prefers the pleasant speed of a walk or his silky smooth jog. Side passes to open and close gaits, won’t leave you stranded if you dismount on the trail, rides out on a loose rein alone or in a group. His education doesn’t stop at the cattle guard either… you can head, heel, or even breakaway! Lopes correct circles, takes both leads with ease, turns around quietly, and has a solid stop. Fancy enough to show in the ranch classes or carry you valiantly through an obstacle coarse. If you’re feeling classy, you can even throw an English saddle on him and dance around the dressage ring or hack across a XC field! He has lovingly chauffeured his favorite 3 yo little boy on long cattle drives, around the yard bareback, as well as casual Sunday family rides. He crosses logs, water, ditches, mud bogs, and steep banks with ease and confidence. Un-phased is an extreme understatement… Does not have a spooky, flighty nature and has the most affectionate, willing-to-please attitude you will ever come across! An absolute dream to have in the barn whether stalled or turned out he will always greet you patiently at the gate.
