Dun It On A Sugarbar, aka “Bug”, is a 2009 AQHA registered dun gelding. Bug stands at right between 15.0 & 15.1 hands tall and is approximately 1,150lbs. Bug is by Tivitos Sugar Bar, an earner of over $59,000 in the NRHA and 43.5 AQHA points. Tivitos Sugar Bar is a producer of over $349,000 and 300 AQHA points. Bug is out of Chex This Dun It, who is a granddaughter of the great Hollywood Dun It, an NRHA Hall of Fame member, who earned over $65,000 in the NRHA, and is a 6 million dollar NRHA sire! Bug was foaled in California and got his early performance start in the reining world. He can do sliding stops, change leads, and spin on a dime! Though he was never shown in the reining as a young horse, he was bought in the spring of his 5 year old by the Corley family, and has been owned by them ever since. Bug went right to work in the roping pen and has won his owner many jackpots and prizes. Bug is a finished, seasoned, been there done that head horse. Bug came into our program at Briggs Performance Horses at the start of this year, with head trainer Bryce Briggs. Bryce has recently started taking Bug to AQHA events, including the Wild Rag Cattle Classic in Fort Worth Texas, in May. Bug shined at his first horse show with exhibiter and trainer Bryce Briggs, with top 5 placings in the AQHA Open Sr Ranch Riding and AQHA Open Ranch Trail, as well as earning points in the AQHA Open Sr Heading. Briggs Performance Horses will continue to show and campaign Bug up until sale time in the team roping and ranch classes. Bug is a true gentleman who handles himself exceptionally well around people, horses, dogs, and cats! He hauls, stalls, and behaves well at every venue, whether it is the weekly roping jackpot or a major AQHA horse show. He is as gentle as they come, with the sweetest, most caring disposition. You can grab him out of the stall, hop on him bareback, carry flags, bounce basketballs, work the chute in the roping pen, and drag anything off of his back! Bug has been used extensively in the pasture for ranch jobs, trail riding, and performing in the arena in the roping and ranch classes. Don’t let his age fool you, he has been well loved and cared for with many, many good miles left in him! He is sound, sane, and ready to be someone’s go to guy. Bug has a small blemish on his hip, that is 100% cosmetic, and barely noticeable, it does not effect him in any way or form. He would make the best new member to someone’s family! Briggs Performance Horses is proud to have the opportunity to train and promote Bug and is excited to be apart of matching him up with his next perfect home and family!
