The 2022 Diamonds in the Desert Premier Horse Sale ~ Las Vegas left us all with smiles and great memories!
Nominations were submitted August 15th – September 15th, scored, and our Top 75 out of nearly 150 nominations were picked and announced by September 30th. We showcased all breeds and all disciplines to accommodate all buyers. Horses sold with vet exams and many buyers were able to travel to the horse’s homes to ride them prior to the sale giving them the confidence they needed to bid come sale day. We appreciate those buyers! We had buyers from all over the United States, Canada, Switzerland, and Australia registered to bid. A high percentage of them were return buyers. We appreciate all our buyers trusting us and our trainers in your purchases. Thanks to our trainers for bringing their very best to our sales!

Patten Rope Horses earned the honors of Premier Trainer at the 2022 Diamonds in the Desert Premier Horse Sale – Las Vegas. Rory and Geraldine run their rope horse business out of both Canada and Wickenburg, AZ. It is truly a family run operation that we couldn’t be prouder to have join us at our sales. LOT # 39 XTRA THIRSTY DUDE offered by Turner Performance Horses sold for $130,000. A 2017 gorgeous Buckskin gelding affectionately known as Buddy! Sired by World Champion, WIMPYNEEDSACOCKTAIL, and out of CHUKA CHIC, who has produced over $160,000 in the NRHA. Buddy was a push button, willingly guided reiner with cadenced spins, throttle-controlled sliding stops, and push button lead changes. He showed with a bold presence similar to a world champion yet quiet enough for a Sunday trail ride!

LOT # 7 EARENDEL WHF offered by Big Horse Ranch & Bar M Horse Ranch sold for $70,000. A five year old, jet black registered Freisian gelding they called Coolio! And boy was he cool! The definition of bomb proof. Coolio could keep the greenest, young riders safe or step up his game to accommodate your most experienced rider, he didn’t care! Ride him bareback, western, or english! He was also a trained cart horse! Coolio is what dreams are made of and he wanted to make yours come true!

LOT # 13 GUNNA B SPOTLESS offered by Turner Performance Horses sold for $60,000. An own son of the great HF MOBSTER! This 2016 golden palomino gelding was versatile and family friendly! His demeanor and riding ability were truly Spotless. Fancy broke and ready to hit the trails, ranch riding competition, or cattle drive! This gentleman was ready to take his rider wherever they wanted to go!

LOT # 55 TRR HILLBILLY ROCK offered by Tongue River Ranch brought $58,000. Sired by CATS HILLBILLY, this outstanding 2015 red roan gelding had been used in all phases of ranch work. He had won several Top Horse awards in the arena at ranch rodeos, including the WRCA World Championship Ranch Rodeo and the San Antonio Ranch Rodeo. A solid switch ender with money won on both the head side and heel side! An all around ranch horse deluxe!

LOT # 29 LAW ABIDING CITIZEN offered by Diamond K sold for $55,000. Affectionately known as Dallas, this 2017 red dun gelding was the kind we would all love to have. Beautiful, talented, and well trained for all levels of riders and disciplines. Hit the trail, reining, or ranch riding on him tomorrow! He was ready and willing!

LOT # 16 CHEATISH offered by Preston Ammann Performance Horses sold for $51,000 and is on her way to Switzerland! A 2018 gorgeous red roan mare sired by the great HOTTISH and out of CHITA BLUE STAR. This mare was bred to be a winner! An NCHA money earner herself, she showed superb athletic ability, but would be glad to take care of the kiddos as well! She was GENTLE! An incredibly bred and kind soul wrapped up in a beautiful red roan package.

LOT # 65 WAS DOCS DARK EAGLE offered by Jared Meyer Performance Horses sold for $50,000. An absolutely stunning 2016 APHA bay gelding they called Diesel. Diesel was solid on the head side and the heel side. He’d also been used on the ranch doing all ranch chores. An easy to ride gelding that had taken care of the kids on trail rides as well!

LOT # 54 MAY DAY MAXIUMUS offered by W2 Horses sold for $50,000. A beautiful 2015 registered Gypsy Vanner gelding wrapped in an incredible buckskin tobiano color! Max had the biggest heart and sweetest personality! An honest, solid, experienced trail and ranch horse that was also trained in english riding. The possibilities were endless with Max!

LOT # 18 TLJ DUALABLANTON offered by Buckeye Acre Farm sold for $46,000. An honest 2018 bay roan gelding that was an absolute pleasure to be around. A go to for the most novice rider, Blanton was trusted to take care of them! Sired by DUALAROANIE, that goes back to the great DUAL PEP and out of RCA BLANTONS BLUE MS. Blanton was bay roan, beautiful, and safe!

A 10 year old bay, quarter horse/haflinger cross gelding that would fit a true beginner or an experienced little cowboy or cowgirl! Patterned in the barrels, poles, and had even had some jumping experience!

LOT # P4 BURNETTS LYLA offered by Gage & Jori Griffin of JG Performance Horses sold for $12,000. Affectionately known as Popcorn, this 2018 Leopard Palomino POA mare was fun! She was everything you’d want in a pony. You could trail ride, work cattle, swam rivers, crossed bridges, you name it!
